Our
Story

Get to Know Us

Global  Champions of Social Change was founded on one simple truth  real change begins when people feel seen, supported, and empowered to lead their own transformation.

Our journey started from a deep passion to break cycles of inequality and build communities where everyone — especially men and boys  can grow into leaders who uplift others. Too often, we saw potential buried under silence, shame, and societal barriers. We knew that to create lasting change, we needed to start where it matters most: in the hearts and minds of people.

The Vision Behind the Movement

At the heart of this vision is Moise Muhindo, a professional social worker and visionary leader with over 15 years of experience working with families, youth, and communities across Canada and Africa.

Moise’s journey has taken him from classrooms and churches in Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Senegal, to community centers and schools here Onatrio and Manitoba  always carrying the same mission: to empower men and boys to lead with compassion, respect, and purpose.

He witnessed firsthand how conversations about masculinity, fatherhood, and mental wellness could heal generations. His work in schools, churches, mosque and sports programs helped young men rediscover their worth, build empathy, and learn to stand against gender-based violence.

It was through these experiences that Global Champions of Social Change (GCSC) was born  not just as an organization, but as a movement for hope, healing, and leadership

Our Vision

We envision a world where every man and boy grows up in a community that values empathy, equality, and respect  a world where leadership is measured not by power, but by purpose.
A world free from gender-based violence, where women, men, and youth stand together to build a culture of care, belonging, and justice

Our Mission

Our mission is to engage, educate, and empower men and boys to become champions for gender equality, mental wellness, and positive social change.

Stories of Change

Before I received menstrual products from the program, I often missed school during my period because I couldn’t afford supplies. This affected my grades and my confidence. Now, with access to these products, I can attend classes regularly and participate in activities without fear or embarrassment. It has changed my life.
